What We Do
Integrated Green Design:
• Our LEED accredited staff works with owners, developers, and a variety of
consultants to facilitate the integrated design process, which is fundamental to
sustainable design.
Charrette Facilitation:
• Certified charrette facilitators on staff lead participatory design processes to develop
green building strategies, educate the public, solicit stakeholder feedback and
integrate multiple perspectives into the design.
• ACDDC staff can also assist communities with resource mapping and visioning
projects.
Assistance with Site Feasibility:
• ACDDC assists clients with zoning and site assessment issues in any stage of project
development.
Construction Project Management:
• ACDDC staff has experience managing green construction projects of any size—
from small homes to 100+ unit multifamily residences. Our services include
permitting, bidding, construction administration, and close out oversight.
Policy Work:
• ACDDC conducts policy research regarding green building, non-profit entities, and
affordable housing.
• ACDDC staff also serves as the affordable housing advocate on task forces convened
by Austin Energy in response to the Austin Climate Protection Plan.
Architectural Design:
• ACDDC partners with Travis Young, AIA, and other local architects to provide site
planning, schematic designs and conceptual renderings that coordinate the feedback
of stakeholders and design experts received during charrettes and public meetings.
Grant writing:
• In order to subsidize the costs of green design for affordable housing projects,
ACDDC staff brings years of successful grant writing experience to these endeavors.
